Say Hello to the ´I want mummy´ phase

A very intense period in my life has begun. My son has fact entered a new phase in its development. Namely mother dependence. I can not take a step without my son is just us my feet and if I go too fast, he starts whining. As soon as I sit on the floor so he starts to climb up into my arms and I'm sitting on the couch, he will crawl to my feet while he whines and lifts his arm to show that he wants in my lap. It is very cute and cozy but incredibly stressful. For right now I feel very limited in what I can do here at home because I can not take a step without him. He is like a small patch on me. But it is allright I guess, I mean how can one be irritated with such a cute face?

I am very happy right now cuz I and my son are going abroad, although only to the neighboring country to visit relatives, but it will be fun I think. It was a long time since I was there. I'm going with my family, I leave my husband at home this time. It is so nice there. My relative that we'll stay with is living in a very small village right by the sea. Oh it's so wonderful. When I was growing up we always went there, every summer. This is like my second home, you could say actually. I really long to go, but it is still a month left.

I have decided!

I'll start training. That I really need, it is time now to take hold of myself. There is a great gym near where I live that is just for girls. it's called Curves. It is super. I used to train there before, but I quit. But now I have to get rid of my baby belly, I just have to get rid of it. So now I want to start training again and get rid of my stupid fat belly.

My little baby has started crawling, very wobbly and not very far at a time, but now he is starting to get a hang of it! He is so cute, and then he started to tear down everything he sees when he is in his walk chair. Unbelievable how such a little kid could have so long "arms" haha oh well not long arms directly, but he seems to get everything and anything he throws down on the floor.

What about me, myself and I?

It is easy to forget yourself when you are mom. Everything is so focused on the new little person coming into your life. It's all about the new baby. All your thoughts revolve around the new baby. And it goes without saying.

You wants what is best for your child, you want to give all you can for your child. Somewhere in the middle of it all you forget yourself. I becomes we. And when you buy something for yourself, you end up e with something for your baby instead. For some reason, along the way the baby and you become the same person, rather than two individuals. I do not know if anyone else has experienced this, but for me it became crystal clear recently.

And I found that it is not healthy to completely forget yourself. You need time that is yours alone. It doesn´t need to be for long but you need a moment that is just yours (and that does not mean, cleaning, cooking and washing clothes) It may be that you meet a friend and enjoy some coffee or maybe go to the gym for a while. The key is to get some time for yourself without your baby. That way you can avoid feeling bad/sad/depressed and you can become a better and happier mom.

A little tooth!

My little baby is about to have a tooth! It is so cute, but so hard for now he whines all the time. I can not get a quiet moment right now. My little sweetheart is never satisfied. Moreover, he seems to have entered a phase where he spits out all the food he gets. How incredibly annoying. I'm going crazy. Previously, he ate always with a smile, he loves food. But now everything is a game for him and it drives me crazy! I hope it gets better soon because I get very tired with all his whining.

sleeping habits

I've been thinking a lot on children's sleep habits latley. I want the best for my son of course and has thought deeply about what is best for him. We were at my son's sheck up as we do every month or so. The nurse talked last time we were there about sleep habits. She said that at about 6 months  it might be a good idea to consider not breast-feed him during the night. Now the child does not need the nutrition during the night anymore.

She also said that if he is not already doing so, it might be good for him tp sleep in his own bed. The reason for this is that it is easiest to teach him these things now at 6 months. Because when he gets eight months, he will enter a phase of dependent. This means that he will be very dependent on the mother and shy with other people. She said that it is not good to change rutines during this period because the child already has it really hard during this period.

My son is already sleeping in his own bed (for the most part), and he has done so since he was 2 months, but he sleeps in our bedroom. I decided to try not to breastfeed him during the night hours. I tried for the first time last night. It went very well. He was of course sad but I did not take him out of bed, but I gave him the pacifier instead and patted him gently on the head. Then he fell asleep right away! I'm so glad it went well. I hope it goes as well tonight.

All you mothers out there what have you done/are going to do with this sort of thing??

Alone at last

I don´t know if I told you this (Iprobably did) but my sister have been living with us for a few months and it has been a pain. No help from her I´ll tell you. For her it has been like living at a hotel. I have done everything for her and she gave nothing in return. My usband has been a bit irritated on her. maybe that´s why he havn´t helped much around the house latley since he is never home? But now we are alone at last and *poof* all of the sudden he is home more again and is helping me more arond the house!! I got my husband back! jipiii!!!! And it is really good to have him back mentally again! I have missed him. I mean he has been here and he hasn´t at the same time you know? Anyway I am happy to have him back!

my son has became so active! he rolls around on the floor and try to take everything that he should not take. like my data cable for example. I have to run around all the time and take away things that he have gotten his hands on and that he is trying to eat! unbelievable what I get tired.

News

This post will be about a few things.

First.
You might have notice I have changed the design on the blog. What do you think? I felt I needed something to show my spring feelings :D

Second.
We have been to the new doctor and made the surgery on my son. It went well as far as we know. He is a happy little boy and insha allah he wont need any more surgery.

Third.
SPRING IS HERE!! I feel so happy to see the sun again! I felt more happy and more spirited than I have in many months. It was so "warm" today and the sun was shining. I went outside with my son and he rocked in a swing in the park outside our house for the first time today. He liked it alot, but the son was a bit to much for him I think! LoL

My little guy

I'm very surprised at myself. I am surprised by my own feelings.

I am breastfeeding my little boy and has obviously been doing so since he was born. I have often thought it was a bit awkward when I'm going to go out among other people and my baby wants food. I do not like to breastfeed in public, even if I have a blanket over my son and myself to hide us. But it has happened that have to do it. necessity knows no law and my children's needs must come first. But I can usually find a nursing room or a toilet that I can hide myself on.

Now I have started to give my baby some food, small servings of flavor. I give him porridge in the morning, a vegetable puree for lunch and fruit puree for a snack in the afternoon. There are no large amounts I give him but it means that I do not have to breast-feed as often.

Now, I think it feels very strange that I am not breastfeeding so often. I miss to breastfeed my baby. Now I wish I breastfeed more often. How weird is that? When I had to always breast feed, then I thought it was hard and now that I do not breast feed more than 4 times per day, I miss it. I don´t really think the breast-feed is the problem I think it is because I feel my little guy is growing up so fast. I want him to always  be small, but at the same time I think it is so fun to watch him develop and grow. I have really mixed feelings about this.

Oh and by the way the doctor called me yesterday and the surgery is booked and will be in two weeks. please make dua for my little guy.
