To whom it may concern.

I write to you today about somthing I have thought about alot.

Islam is a wonderful religion. But it is divided into several parts. I can see it here in the blogosphere, this division among Muslims and I encounter it in discussions with friends (who are Muslims). I guess that's obviously what I mean when I say that religion is divided, I mean primarily the Sunni and Shia. 

I hate this division and I get sad when I hear a Sunni Muslim, speak ill of a Shiite Muslim and vice versa. We are all Muslims who seek Allah's forgiveness and mercy. Who is to judge a fellow Muslim? I? You? No. The only one that should judge any of us and judge what is in our hearts is Allah.  

The quran says:
But who, for a people whose faith is assured, can give better judgment than Allah? (5:50)

There is so much misunderstanding among Muslims, between Shiites and Sunnis. I have heard a lot of strange things from and about both sides. Much is hearsay and is not based on facts. Sometimes a given source is very unreliable. In today's world with this extreme outflow of information, you must be very critical of the information you find. Often  at times, not just one source. You may need several sources to really be sure that it is true. In the quran there are many references to knowledge. As a Muslim you should seek knowledge and not just listen to what other people tell you.
 
Read! In the name of your Lord WHO created - Created the human from something Which clings. Read! And your Lord is Most Bountiful - He Who Taught (the use of) the Pen, Taught the humanThat Which He Knew note. [96:1-5]

He [Allah] grants wisdom to whom He pleases; and he to whom wisdom is granted indeed receives a benefit overflowing. But none will grasp the Message except men of understanding. [2:269]

High above all is Allah, the King, the Truth. Do not be in haste with the Qur'an before its revelation to you is completed, but say, "O my Sustainer! Increase my knowledge." [20:114] 

...Say: Are those equal, those who know and those who do not know? It is those who are endued with   understanding that remember (Allah's Message).  [39:9]

 ...Allah will raise up to (suitable) ranks (and degrees) those of you who believe and who have been granted knowledge. [58:11]

The first thing Allah say to angel Gabriel was: READ!

There is a saying that "Freedom Shall set us free" but in Islam it is rather "Knowledge Shall Set us Free"
 
To have knowledge is the only way to liberate ourselves from ignorance, and there is much ignorance today and ignorance can lead to dangerous roads. There are great ignorance everywhere in the world.  There are many people who can not read or where the quran may be available only in Arabic and then for that reason can not read it. In these places, people are dependent on other people's interpretations. And then there are people who are just lazy. Ignorance can be found everywhere.  
This can lead to many bad things.

One example of ignorace could be the circumcision of girls.  (some say it is sunnah) This is a very debated subject. But since I am not very informed on the subject at hand I will not get into it in this post and if you want to know more about it I suggest you go out and seek the info about it.

But honestly, this is a very extreme example, but you might understand what I mean. By failing to seek knowledge there can be a lot of information that is incorrect spread and poison people's thoughts. 

Is it not fit'-nah for a muslim to speak badly about other muslims?  Maybe someone would say NO on the grounds that sunni or shia is not really muslims but I would say that since we (muslims/humans) are not to judge eachother it is not up to any of us to say such a thing about another muslim.

I am not even sure this is a message will be understood for what it is. I am not trying to say anything badly about anyone. The only thing I want to say with this post is:
WE ARE ALL MUSLIMS AND WE SHOULD RESPECT AND LOVE EACHOTHER NOT HATE EACHOTHER! 

SPREAD THE LOVE AND NOT THE HATE. 

I will tell you something I heard on TV the other day:
Shia and sunni are like a coin there are two sides of the coin but the coin is still just one. One coin with two sides. The two sides are united as one. And Allah is the one who will judge us on our last day on earth.

I wrote this to you, whom it may concern but pleace try to see that this is a message of peace and love for all my muslim brothers and sisters shia and sunni alike!

"And hold fast, All together, by the rope Which Allah (stretches out for you), and be not divided among yourselves;" 
[Al-Qur’an 3:103]

And surely this your Ummah is one Ummah, and I am your Lord, so fear Me alone . But they have broken the affair of their religion into sects among themselves, each group rejoices in that which is with it. So leave them in their ignorance for a time. 
( Al-Qur'an 23: 52 -54 )

O mankind! Verily, there has come to you the Messenger (Muhammad SAW) with the truth from your Lord, so believe in him, it is better for you. But if you disbelieve, then certainly to Allâh belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth. And Allâh is Ever All­ Knowing, All­ Wise.

If you avoid the major sins which you are forbidden, We will remove from you your lesser sins and admit you to a noble entrance [into Paradise].And do not wish for that by which Allah has made some of you exceed others. For men is a share of what they have earned, and for women is a share of what they have earned. And ask Allah of his bounty. Indeed Allah is ever, of all things, Knowing. [Al Qur'an 4:31,32]

She is a source of inspiration

Is there anything more wonderful than friends who inspires you to become a better Muslim? It's amazing with friends that only with their own actions will inspire you to become a better Muslim. No words is needed. Such a friend is worth gold.  It is important to have muslim sisters to as a support and as a inspiration.

I have such a friend. I am always so happy to see her and she makes me want to be better. She reminds me of the right way without ever saying anything. We always have interesting discussions and conversations with each other about Islam and about everything. She is a real source of inspiration and a wonderful friend. She is strong in her soul. She is a convert like myself and I'm really happy to have met her. A true friend and sister in Islam al hamdulillah!

Allah gave her a tear to shed

I found something so beautiful on Facebook and I want to share it with you.  
A little boy asked his mother, "Why are you crying?"

"Because I'm a woman," she told him.
...
"I don't understand," he said.

His Mom just hugged him and said,

"And you never will."

Later the little boy asked his father, "Why does

mother seem to cry for no reason?"

"All women cry for no reason," was all his dad could say.

The little boy grew up and became a man, still wondering why women cry.

Finally he met an old man who would surely know the answer.

And he asked him: "Old man, why do women cry so easily?" 
Old man said: "When woman was created, she had to be made special. Allah created her shoulders strong enough to carry the weight of the world, yet gentle enough to give comfort. She was given an inner strength to endure childbirth and the rejection that many times comes from her children. And a hardness that allows her to keep going when everyone else gives up, and take care of her family through sickness and fatigue without complaining.

Allah gave her the sensitivity to love her children under any and all circumstances, even when her child has hurt her very badly. She was given strength to carry her husband through his faults and she was fashioned from his rib to protect his heart.

Allah gave her wisdom to know that a good husband never hurts his wife, but sometimes tests her strengths and her resolve to stand beside him unfalteringly.

And lastly, Allah gave her a tear to shed. This is hers and only hers exclusively to use whenever she needs it. She needs no reason, no explanation, its hers."

"You see my son," said old man, "the beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair.The beauty of a woman must be seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart - the place where love resides."

Mosques and women

I was reading a really interesting post in houda´s blog and it really got me thinking about women in the mosque. She was very clear about the fact that she thinks it is wrong that women must pray in a different room than the men. I perceived it as the main reason for this was that she wanted to see the imam who spoke and feel that she was as worthy as men before God. She questioned why a woman should feel like second-class citizens before God, even if that is not the case at all. 

I've never really thought that women are worth less than men in front of God and therefore I understand her irritation that the woman is in the shadows of the mosque. Personally I am grateful that I can pray privately with the women. I feel it is easier to get in touch with myself and with God in that way, but it may be that we in our mosque we can actually see the imam when he talks because we are in the same room as him, but we are on a balcony over the men. For that reason, I feel involved. I do not feel secluded. It is very possible that I would have felt differently if I had not been able to see the imam, and we had been sitting in a completely different place.  


Actually, now that I mention it, I had to pray in another room last year at Eid. There were so many people there that not everyone could fit on the balcony. I was one of those that did not fit, therefore we had to go up to another room and listen to the imam by loudspeaker. It's true. It was not nearly the same experience of prayer. I have found that I appreciate our balcony for giving me some privacy while I feel fully involved in prayer. I believe that houda is right when she says that as a woman should be allowed to choose herself if she want to pray together, but behind the men or if she want to pray privately in another room inside the mosque. But I'll be honest, I think a balcony over the men provide a prefect balance between the two.

A great reward

Being a mother is a great reward al hamdulillah. True happiness is being a mother. In islam mothers have a high position and is mention several times in the quran. Al hamdulillah I have the great honor to experience this. I will always do my very best to be the best mother I can be.

"Worship God and join not any partners with Him; and be kind to your parents..." [Noble Quran 4:36]

"Your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him and that you be kind to parents. Whether one or both of them attain old age in your life, say not to them a word of contempt, nor repel them, but address them in terms of honor. And out of kindness, lower to them the wing of humility and say, "My Lord! Bestow on them Your Mercy even as they cherished me in childhood." [Noble Quran 17:23-24]

"And We have enjoined on man [to be good] to his parents: in travail upon travail did his mother bear him and his weaning was over two years. Be thankful to Me and to your parents, unto Me is the final destination."[Noble Quran 31:14]

The prophet Muhammed (peace and blessings be upon him) have said in a hadith,
"Do good to and serve your mother, then your mother, then your mother, then your father, then the near relatives and then those who come after them."[Mazhari]

 The honor Islam has given to mothers is beyond that found in any other religion, ideology or culture. And that is shwon in sveral places in the noble quran and in hadiths. It really and truly is a blessing to be a mother. Being a mother is and will always be one of the most important things I have or will do in this life and insha allah I will be blessed with more children to light up my life.
The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) also said in a famous narration:
'Paradise lies at the feet of your mother' [Musnad Ahmad, Sunan An-Nasâ’i, Sunan Ibn Mâjah]
